Commodity Flow Study

From July of 2024 through February 2025 Scioto EMA conducted the first ever Hazardous Materials Commodity Flow Study for Scioto County. The purpose of the study is to determine the types, quanities, and transporation methods of hazardous materials passing through Scioto County. The study is used to enhance planning, preventation, mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery through awareness of hazmat transport, conducting risk analysis, assisting with planning, guiding training exercises and assessing equipment needs and placement.
